    Multiple choice???

With this question, I'm wondering how this is in the syllabus as how are we supposed to know what Faraday's law is (That is if the answer of D is true). I figured it was either C or D but if its not in the syllabus how are we supposed to know the answer. Just curious really

General Thoughts - Mathematics Extension 2

Re: General Thoughts - Maths Extension 2 I think it was comparable to last years in terms of difficulty but still a lot easier than previous ones. Hopefully i managed >105. Also why was there so much conics if they are planning to get rid of it. I thought it would have been the other way round.

    probability Qs~~~

probability of getting a sum of 7 is 1/6 therefore 4C2*(1/6)^2(5/6)^2 + 4C3*(1/6)^3(5/6)^1 + (1/6)^4=19/144 (hopefully) (I don't have a calculator on me but im pretty sure its right)

    CSSA trial results

I got 94/120 (78%) and i don't think that i'm close to the top of the state, well not yet. I'd think you would have to get like 95% to get close to the top. As for band 6 i really don't know but i think the CSSA trial this year was not as hard as previous tests.

    CSSA trial extension 1

Wow. that was fairly difficult, especially the binomial in question 7. I reckon that was much harder than past CSSA papers.

    Pens

I've never used one but i've heard of them. (http://www.grand-illusions.com/acatalog/info_48.html) Or you could get a space pen, apparently they last a long time.

    Pens

Everyone should get the inkless pens that last forever and you will never have to buy a pen ever again. ;)

    Graph

Don't you just 'get rid' of everything below the x-axis and then reflect the rest of the graph in the x-axis.

Left hand thumb rule and Right Hand thumb Rule

Actually 'helper' I think they are different rules but I’m pretty sure you don’t need the left hand rule cause only the right hand rule is in the syllabus. Also there’s the right hand grip rule where in a current carrying conductor your thumb points in the direction of the current and your...
