I was wondering, for the two or three mark questions in the reading task, is it useful, or necessary to have a one sentence introduction at the start? I know the three marks means three ideas/techniques, but do we need the intro as well. I usually write a sentence for the five or six mark...

I did, and i just used the summary at the end of the "Contested Spaces" text book for Conflict in the Pacific. It goes through each syllabus heading in a paragraph or two.

Having looked over the last eight HSC modern history exam papers, especially the questions for Russia, i've noticed that none of them focus on any one aspect (except for the five year plans) in detail. I know they base the questions on the "key features and issues" at the top of the syllabus, so...

From my understanding, its considered a given that historians will be used as evidence, so its not really necessary to include them in the question.

I've submitted a second draft, and at the moment its mostly just editing, rewording and restructuring it.

I did physics last year and it was important for the practicals (although i can't remember what the exact rules for sig figs were) to use the right number of significant figures, but it didn't matter for the theory exams as long as it was a reasonable number.
