HSC physics is much more interesting than Prelim imo. If you can somehow regain that interest through the new content you'll be learning in HSC and put in extra effort, it's definitely enjoyable and rewarding :)

tutoring + no effort = a waste of time and money tutoring + extra effort = success

For chemistry i'd definitely recommend Conquering Chemistry or Macquarie.

Pendulum is a very common experiment to measure the acceleration due to gravity but there is also another experiment using a water-drop method. Not as common as pendulum. Anyway that's just a bit from one module- you'll be doing 4 modules so depending when in the year you do your practicals...

every time i do a past hsc paper i always lose marks in the transformations section ie when you're give y=f(x) and you sketch y=f(x^2), y=[f(x)]^2 etc etc...the only ones i can get out are the absolute value ones, all the others cost me marks :( can anyone suggest a way to do those type of...

What kind of hsc mark would an 80% raw in 4u equate to?

thanks! now i know this is a bit off topic but i can't seem to find an answer to this question: what happens in a scenario where there are say 6 out of ~40 students who score a band 6 in a certain subject however they are not the top 6 in the cohort but they make up the top 10...assuming...

cool, also, on the board of studies website where they have the list of distinguished achievers- are those OVERALL band 6 marks? ie hsc mark + internal mark averaged? or just the HSC exam marks?

On the day before our atars are released, do we receive external marks only or external marks with internal moderated marks? Or is it just going to be one mark that is the average of both? Slightly confused:uhoh:
