I guess for anyone else that needs to know, for GOVT2221, the assessment task weightings are dropped by 25%, and for the extension unit, there is an extra tutorial assessment, and a take-home exam due in the normal examination period for that 25% gap. I'm guessing it's similar for all the other...

With the whole move from 8 -> 6 credit points, the Eco facult is offering 2cp extension units. Anyone else doing these? And does anyone know what kind of extra work is involved? The information they sent out last year was very vague and brief.

Live word count in Word severely hampers its performance. If you turn that off you might see less lag. But all in all Word is just a 'slow' app in general. It suffers from a lot of incremental bloat, and is written in Carbon instead of the newer Cocoa framework.

That is being deliberately untruthful. AAC is an OPEN STANDARD format based on mpeg4.

The advantage is that to uninstall you just drag it to the trash, and that's all, it's uninstalled. You right click the application icon and choose "show package contents". Nothing hard about it... except that there's nothing in there that you really need to touch :)

ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! Macs are perfectly compatible with Windows PCs. In fact, it was easier to network my Windows XP machine with this iBook than it was with another Windows Box. So yeah... completely compatible!

I ordered a base model iBook G4, and it shipped in two days. If you've configured your powerbook, it'll takes heaps longer to arrive. Since its been 3 weeks, I would give them a call to see whats going on. Also, log into your account at the apple store, there should be an order tracker page...
