    MMAN2700 - How to survive?

Thread bump. This year Olsen is offering an official "distance" version of the lecture steam. It shows up in timetable.unsw as WEB. Does anyone think this would be a good idea? It seems everyone I speak to says Olsen has no online notes and the lecture recordings are useless. I am worried...

    Mechanical vs Mechanical AND Manfacturing

So, my going into third year my current plan is that of a Mechanical degree however I notice that the Manufacturing degree is now called Mechanical and Manufacturing. Having done one subject in manufacturing as a professional elective (early I know) I didn't mind the content. This got me...

    Mman3000

Sorry for putting up multiple threads. MMAN3000, is it compulsory/necessary to attend the lectures? It seems that they use both the lectures and problem solving class as time to meet with your groups? Will it be a problem if I am unable to attend the lecture? Thanks

Help with professional electives, Mech Eng plan

Hi all, There doesn't seem to be much of a list and/or guide relating to the professional electives for the Mechanical Engineering plan. I am able to locate previous years PDFs that state what could have been used then, however there's nothing confirming that those classes still exist, in...

    Plan your timetable!

I dont mean to hijack this thread, but the question is along the same line so why not ;). The classes offered on my.unsw, are they the confirmed clases (asof the 8th December), or are they maybe going to add more classes with different times ?

    commerce/com eng

I am currently enrolled in Ecnomics, and have a quick question. I am seriously considering doing a combined degree with either com/comp sci or com/com eng. My question is how difficult is it to transfer over from my single degree to the double, ie do my current units in commerce count, or...

    Week 2 tutorial work

This is a very simple question. For our first tutorial do we have to have done the allocated week 2 work before the tutorial, or is this work due before the next tutorial (ie week 3). I hope this makes sense, to all of you out there, lol. Its just they tell us that questions should be done...

Mate, out of all the past papers i have dont i have never encounted a more difficult second half to the paper. The questions were long, and hard, and i do 3u aswell, lol. From what most people have said it seems the exam overall was hard, so dont worry. It will be alligned up by th BOS (like...

    CSSA Results

i got 70%, ranked 3rd. Our teacher marked from his own criteria, not the CSSA marking scheme meaning it was marked much much harder. I myself dont mind, aslong as the whole class was marked the same, inwhich they were. Does anyone know what a raw mark of 70 in the CSSA trial would give me on...

    CSSA results

I was so upset when i got my results back. I normally do really well in my essays but for some reason, fu*k up the essays in the trial. I got 8 and 15 for them. Total of 70 for the whole exam. Well below my average, but gives me a rank of 5th. Looks like more study for the HSC

    The 2005 CSSA`

    CSSA trials

I was looking at past papers, and it dosnt 'look' to be to difficult. Although i havnt sat down to do the harder ie 5 + questions. If you learn all your stuff, and where it comes from, rather than how to use it, i think we should b alrite

Official 2005 CSSA Trial Exam Thread

Think about this, if the question is worth 3marks, then there prob looking at more than just an answer. But it all depends on the question, and what uve learned, bla bla bla. Most of it comes from the proof anyway. Its notmally the same stuff

Official 2005 CSSA Trial Exam Thread

No they cant, BUT, they can argue that you didnt do what the question asked. If they said prove, then testing a point either side really isnt proving, its showing. Key verbs are in maths aswell. As for qu10 today, i cant remember what the actual wording of the question was, but i had some spare...

Official 2005 CSSA Trial Exam Thread

I was thinking of doin that, but then i thought to realy "prove" it that way, you would have to test a whole lot of points. Its one of those questions that common sense can tell you the answer straight away, but we gotta show it. But really, i dont think they would take marks of you. Well done
