I) Show that f(x) = e^x - 3x^2 has a root between x = 3.7 and x = 3.8.
II) Starting with x = 3.8 use one application of Newtons to find a better approximation for this root.

the subject is legal, i topped it in year 11 and i just perused the yr 12 course and it seems easy. 90 in legal scales better than 90 in 2unit maths, so it seems tempting lol. but isnt there like some board of studies rule that you must complete 120hrs of a certain subject? I really want to do...
I completed a course in Yr 11 but chose not to do it for year 12. However now i want to do it and i was wondering if i'm able to pick it up although we are now in Term 2 of Yr 12. Are we allowed to if we want to? I dont suppose the board of studies stops us only the school would?

u probably did hav the best notes. but as i once heard good notes are about 20% of it, intelligence around 80%. notes + intelligence = 100%. intelligence + no notes = 80%.. notes + no intelligence = 20% etc etc etc lol
If you got a really good mark in the IPT HSC (Band 6) I'm interested in buying the notes you made/resources you used. Im doing it this year and need some study resources (although I'm doing pretty well so far).

If you did well in the Information Process and Technology (IPT) 2003 HSC and are willing to sell the notes you made/resources you used for TOP DOLLAR....
