Half Life 2 is bloody scary.

I never thought the game was scary.. except for this level:

Fuck.. this town one scared the crap outta me but you know, hearing that old guy with the Shotty's voice every once in a while soothed me (since otherwise I would of just felt totally alone.. with zombies and shit.

Some areas of Nova Prospekt were freaky too:

Overall, a very very awesome game. Oh, and if you like scary FPS, look out for F.E.A.R coming out soon.. watching a 320mb video demo of it scared the living shit out of me (awesome gameplay/graphics FPS with a complex supernatural/military storyline).. a few levels of Far Cry I thought were also scary and of cause Doom 3 is pretty scary.. but gets repetitive after awhile.

The only games I found scary were doom 3 and thief.

i reckon those 2 games have the best atmosphere for the game. works really well.

@jkddragon - totally. people laugh at me when i say hl2 was scary. they just don't remember the fact that they were scared themselves.

as for doom 3, don't even go there.

edit: xiaoie feels like a nerd 2day... stayed at lib (same seat, didn't move out of lvl4 fisher, cept for bathroom + talk to friends etc) from 10am til now 6pm ^^
