17 until the day we apply for unis. Also there are international studients that are like 21 and are doing the hsc. Does that mean we're disadvantaged cause of their age?

18 in late december. not so bad, one of my friends is in june next year.. ick. but it still sucks, most of my friends are 18 and therefore can do awesome shit, leaving me at home to watch friday night movies... haha.
