I'm in Year 11 and things haven't been explained to us about Year 12 (yet) which is coming soon and I don't know whether this is possible or just a rumour but I've heard that in Year 12 you have the choice to drop a 2 unit subject from Year 11's 12 unit course or just keep it as a sort of safety net.
I also heard that you can do 14 units. I'm confused. I don't really understand how you could possibly do 14 units as there isn't time at school -before and after school perhaps? But still, the subject that is the extra 14 units, it wouldn't have been studied prior and so does the work not coincide with Year 11 work and just starts at the beginning of Year 12? Also, is there a cost for the extra work and because the teachers have to take their time etc. and do only specific subjects apply to this because I'm really unsure about what all this is that's going on. I'm guessing it varies from school to school though do classes only exist due to popular demand so if only about 10 people want an extra class, it wouldn't run?
Oh and my apologies for putting this thread here if it wasn't supposed to be.
