I don't think so. When Year 12 starts, everything that you did in Preliminary has no influence because everyone has a fresh start.

None of your preliminary mark counts to HSC.
However 15% of preliminary knowledge can be directly tested in HSC math.

NO!

They just test some of the knowledge from Year 11 but all the subjects start off clean from the beginning of year 12.

Came to post this, hahaha.
Yeah, what undalay said is true. Our maths teacher told our class 15% of this year counted today.
We were like...you're telling us this now?
Turns out the '15%' wasn't actually a counted mark. It's just that 15% of the HSC course will require you to apply preliminary maths skills and knowledge.

Is it 15%? I thought it was more, like 30% or something.
I'm pretty sure it is 30% of preliminary content that will be tested in the mathematics HSC course. It is not 15%.

AND PRELIMINARY MARKS DO NOT COUNT TO THE HSC.

Stupid question, but preliminary RANKINGS don't count to the hsc either, right?

I'm almost 99% sure they don't. I just want to be positive that the ranking system resets at the beginning of Year 12.

100% positive that Year 11 rankings do not count. Fresh start, make the most of it.

Nothing counts in yr 11.
Tests and assesments that you do in term 4 will start counting towards the HSC

and 30% of prem maths is in the HSC..
i heard it's 25% but not sure
