Yep, XP works ok.

The wireless network is really good. Connect to the access points (in libraries and Union Court, then open a browser and you'll need to login with your student no. and password.
It's reasonably fast internet (depending on area and load) which isnt counted towards your quota.

Macs can get on, as well as Linux with certain tools

Just came back from that Information Evening down at the Sheraton (Sydney). What a friendly bunch of people :) Everyone i spoke to was doing law lol But anyway ill just sit in the corner with science ;) lol See everyone sunday week!

Haha, I got the flyer for that. But I didn't go for the same reason I picked Canberra over Sydney - it's too far away!!! I thought that was funny...

Anyway, I am also a N00b doing B Science (Honours) 1st year and staying at Fenner hall. And I might add, I didnt realise it wasnt on campus when I put it in my preferences lol

Hey there - yep, I'm a "mature age" first year. Still, I don't feel mature age, I'm only 24!!!

I'll be doing Art History and Curatorship.

Are you staying on campus? B&G for me.

Yeah I don't feel "mature" either... I'll be turning 25 on Sunday :)

Unfortunately I'm not staying on campus... altho reading posts here makes me wish I was.

What's funny is that when I graduated from high school, ANU was my first preference. It took me 7 years, but I finally got in!
