Well it's more his style then anything.

He's not particularly quick, hes not that strong, and he isn't an amazing dribbler. All he was was a world class finisher, which in the epl, often isn't good enough (for a big 4 team) on it's own. Certain player's are just suited to certain leagues. Even great players like del peiro or iniesta probably wouldn't match their success in the epl.
