It's entirely situational. Some people prefer to have more than 10 units as a security plan if they screw up. Others do the minimum 10 units if they are confident that they will do well in all their units of study. Then there are those who do more than 10 units because they love all their subjects and have no intention of ropping or doing poorly in any of them.

Hi Everyone!! i just found this website and this is my very first post...
my subjects are........
Advanced English (funny how everyone puts that first!)
Extension1 Maths
Music 2 (Extension for HSC)
Ancient History (Extension for HSC)
PDHPE
Sport and Recreation (1 unit, had to do it because my stupid school doesnt let us do 13 units and im doin 3u maths... im droppin it at the end of this term)

so thats it! cant wait for HSC to start, im also running for school captian so cant wait for the results to come out!

Admittedly it is a bit late (prelim finals less than a week away for me), but the subjects I took this year were:
Advanced English (Failed the half-yearlys miserably)
General Maths (placed 5th out of those taking at my school, I don't know how)
Modern History (doing ok)
Economics (placed second in the half-yearly, placed about 5th overall)
Legal Studies (placed third in the half-yearly, about 7th or 8th overall)
Business Studies (I hate the subject, managed to place about 15th in the half-yearly though).
