Haha I read 'The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night-time' for fun at 15, I wish we could study it as a text, I love it.

Wondering though, if anyone else is studying The Namesake as their prose fiction text for belonging in Advanced?

Oh Hamlet! that would be fun, we're doing on of the Richard's.

Romulus, My Father - I've never studied but I bet it's a good Ancient History crossover? I know we did the Odyssey in Extension English in year 11 at that one was handy.

for AOS we're doing the SIMPLE GIFT, and dear god.. it's too simple for my liking, i have decided that i am going to dedicate my life to finding some kind of deep, philosophical underlying message subliminally embedded within such a mind bogglingly SIMPLE free verse novel... -shudder-

then for mod A we're doing pride & prejudice and letters to alice, which should be relatively easy to explore connections in..

mod B is HAMLET!! which i did back in the days of yore in year 10...

& module C is 'wag the dog' which is another text that i live in fear will potentially become deathbeatingly simple. :S

i'm kinda sad that the option i originally picked didn't run.. it was awesome- it had the JUSTICE GAME included! ;'(

for ext we're doing CRIME FICTION!!! as for texts, REAR WINDOW, ANIL'S GHOST &THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND!! of which i am VERY happy with!! & i'm doing a mind-revolutionising critical analysis for extension 2 which i can't wait to create.

You'd think so, but nope...
Despite sounding epically historic, in actuality it's naught but a biography memoir type piece that some guy wrote about his father. Originated as a eulogy, developed into a book...

What about Fundamentals of English?
I did fundemantals as a part of my year 11 course because english has always been my worst subject by far. I ended up winning an award for topping the subject and now all the boys in my grade have been bagging me out. I feel so embarrased.

yeah i spose. it shows you can interpret things in different ways.
do it in a way that doesnt make you look like a douche though, say something like 'another aspect of *whatever* can be seen in the same quote'
