Did you guys think 2013 HSC chem paper was unexpected/uncommonly difficult? Or did u find it was as u expected? or did u find it easy? (if u did, gg haha)

I found it was a good amount more challenging than what I was expecting as well as past years papers.

It seems like every HSC exam this year is either completely new and unexpected or just plain hard as hell haha.

I thought it was average, some questions were a bit tricky. (Probs should have studied more hahaha)
They seem to be more original and require some thought now which is good I guess.

I liked the calculation question that was a new, a fresh change from the standard titration calculation.

I thought it was pretty average tbh. I did past papers from 2001 - 2012, and most of them had quite twisted questions. So imo, it was slightly easier than past papers.

I thought it was harder than previous years because of the curveball questions like the indicator one and the lead/silver nitrate. Overall, a decent paper imo.

Howd you go Haya? State rank?
Cant be sure, I only picked up 7 marks off when going thru paper on the chem thread, but likely will be a bit more marks off with the nature of chem marking haha.

I think state ranking is a possibility, but yea being realistic about things I wouldn't bet money on that lol, probably got far less than 90 raw knowing my luck. Will have to c wat happens.

Btw, when are state rankers advised that they state ranked? or even 1st in course? then by that time I'll know If i got state rank or not haha.

1st in course gets phone calls before the HSC results are released. other state ranks are released by the BOS on the day of the HSC results on the internet :)

I found the exam to be all right. There were no very hard questions, so that's good.

Hopefully, the Physics exam is the same level as this.

If you have already picked off 7 marks, you almost certainly won't get even high B6.
