Sounds productive.

I've been working on my 6 page (so far) lab report for bio - I have to redeem myself after that atrocious exam last week.

Well, it did say *at least* 1500 word, so my near 3,000 should score me some bonus points. I do like to write :)

I've always done better in exams than I have in tests though. I put more effort into projects than I do studying.

Having a headache (or any sickness) the day before an exam is probably the most frustrating thing ever for the average student. But it means you will need to rest.

I don't mean mess up your sleeping pattern, but you're going to have to take it easy. If you insist on studying, do something light-weighted (or if you really want to do a past paper, think the answer in your head; don't actually write it down)

Lol, just a tad pedantic there..

My bio teacher has said they like the fact that I don't 'pad' my work with bs.

I've noticed some of my classmates use big words unnecessarily, like they're trying to impress (aka they look up synonyms for every word and use the longest one).

I use simple language and charts & graphs to get to the point. There shouldn't be suspense in science.

Part of the reason my word count is so high is because I type each and every question I need to address, so that my teacher can see that I've addressed every dot point of criteria.

Beadle and Tatum are pissing me off though, can anyone explain their 'one gene- one polypeptide' hypothesis?

I know that feel ;_;

I got a fever right at the beginning of my exam period, and I had 8 exams left D:

The fever went away in a day but I had a cold for the next two weeks

I highly doubt this would be in a test but here it goes.

They hypothesised that one gene controls the production of one enzyme, and they did their work on bread mould. They used X-rays on a kind of mould that was unable to make the required amino acid because it did not have the enzyme needed. But their hypothesis was altered later because all proteins aren't enzymes. Hence, one gene-one protein.

Later it changed again to one protein-one polypeptide hypothesis because protein aren't always made up of one polypeptide.

Hope the wording isn't too confusing.

Nahh the wording's great, thanks :)

I also doubted that it'd be in a test, but I had a little vision of it coming in my bio exam tomorrow and kind of panicked so I thought I'd go over it again lol

85% of your standard integrals are on the formula sheet anyway
