yeah from what i know discrete math is mandatory in compsci and it goes way past 4u

oh my god, hopefully its not like that for aeronautical/astrophysics…

There's three levels: MATH1131 (for compsci students), MATH1141 (for math students) and MATH1151 (for actuarial students only)

i have a few engineering friends doing 1151 by choice - for "fun"
edit: sorry meant 1141, 1131 is the base level for engo

thats what we get told/ but so far in first year phys (a whole two weeks of it) literally the only thing we've done that isn't in HSC physics was the equation for force from a spring
oh and technically 3d vectors but u do those in HSC maths

from what ive heard there's going to be vectors or something in infinite dimensions at some point in math

yea from like the first or second lesson. and things called matrices
