Hi all,

As a 2022 HSC student who applied to UNSW law for 2023 with a 99.45 ATAR and Top 20% LAT, I was rejected which seems quite odd given that other people with lower marks got accepted.
Anyways, for everyone else who applied, what ATAR and LAT did you get (and did you get accepted or rejected?).

I would've thought you get in just by doing the lat with that atar, I guess not

Anyways, I did get an offer for unsw law

Hey guys, this year I got 97.3 atar and 86 LAT and I didn’t get into UNSW com law. Should I query this or does it make sense? Atar median is roughly 98 and lat median is 74. Although my atar was a bit under surely my lat (more than ten points above median) would mitigate this? I thought both were decently strong results

Yeah I don't get it either. I got an offer today with a 98.0 ATAR and 92 LAT, but one of my friends who got a 90 LAT and additional points from EAPL (not sure what ATAR) didn't make it in either. I'm willing to bet they're just particularly stingy on first-round offers, since only 95 people out of a potential 493 have enrolled for LAW1052 as of right now, so I reckon you have a good chance of getting it in a future round.

WARNING: if you attempt the LAT two times, unsw does not check which one is better. I got 86 one year and 58 the next. Guess which one they chose? They said I would have got in if they didn’t make a mistake.
On the website they say enter in the most recent year and they will check. I phoned in and they said they “don’t always check”. If I miss out on this course because of their mistake…

if i were you i would be very confident to get an offer in jan round 1, even though demand is ridiculously high (e.g. uts law went from 96 to 97.3 minimum (it hit the 98s for LSR for some law combinations there). pls update us anyways btw!!
