yea exactly, I just said that regardless of the value of the gradient, as long as d is within that domain, it will cross the circle at two points and just drew a random line as an example. Full shambles tho, hoping I get at least 1 for it. for b) i knew we had to use distance formula but i had no clue from there. Guessing there was a shortcut for the question as it was a 2 marker.
Yeah I just found that B was (xa + √6, ya + √6)

I'm scared for ext 1 now
we practically guaranteed a geo vector proofs since last yr they didn't get any. I found it hilarious that last year's people were absolutely robbed for not having any geo proofs in trials and then they end up getting that as their hardest question in hsc. I mean if they follow the trend as usual, they will throw in a nasty projectile but idk. I have a feeling they may put in a harder volumes question since thats rlly the only topic that hasn't featured in q14. dont think the inflow/outflow question will appear🤷‍♂️

based on what is being said about the cssa maths adv exam, i think chemistry is going to be hell tomorrow...
people are saying it wasn't harder than last yrs but I found it harder idk. tbh getting 85 was rlly achievable and from there its hit or miss. Even the second last question ain't bad as mentioned by someone before. Idk about other 3u people but I hate studying for 2u.

my school doesn't do cssa but we had 6 mark inflow - outflow without them giving the equation (so not a prove that dm/dt=___) so if u lost the first 2 u lost the other 4 as well

if u feel like it, report it or smth

idk I know its not like copyrighted or anything but it would be nice to upload it myself and also tbh its really pissy to upload someone else's stuff
like I have notes I've made mostly using other ppls notes and I'm probably not gonna uploaded them even tho I've changed some minor things and changed the formatting, bc most of the document isn't mine yk?!

was that the hardest question?
it was a question 14a relatively simple only trick was finding the equation since the rest of the whole topic is identical. The hardest one for me was a perms and combs question but that's cause I'm dog shit at it. The hardest IMO was a question about volume of rotation and related rates of change. You had to find the volume equation sub in some height, equate the ratios of right angle triangles find h and then do related rates of change

regarding the volumes question, was it similar to the volume question in the 2022 CSSA paper? It was q13 (forgot the part) but they incorporated both volume of rotation and rates of change and u had to find height of cone. (they had given volume i think)

Those questions are the bane of my existence
our teacher said in the HSC most of the time they give it as a proof thing so ur not losing all the marks, but in her words, the math faculty felt like
"forcing us to understand the importance of small parts of the syllabus which ppl overlook"
