WHAT. like im not complaining at all, but what do you mean i get to write any of this in normal fuckass english,,,,, i used to do entire exams in entirely chinese (all the questions, responses & even the instructions were in chinese),,,,, again. not complaining, but i did not expect the questions, let alone the responses to most of the listening & reading comprehension to be done in english??? yippee ig?????

ik its really really late in the school year to still be reconsidering this but i got into a fully selective school but i have to travel an hour each way everyday to get there (i know other students do it too but im kinda lazy) and am not sure if a selective school is going to make that big of a difference to my atar. ive been doing pretty well at my local public school but my cohort isn't the greatest. i genuinely cant decide which to go with. also im aiming for an atar of 90 or above if thats relevant at all

I think if ur aiming for an atar of 90 or above staying at ur current school should be fine, cause as long as u do good u should be fine and ur cohort won't affect u. And also travelling an hour a day is kinda a lot and can take up a lot of ur time

Would you say ur ranked pretty high at ur school rn, in subjects like math, english (and ur next yr ones)? If you dont know that's okay, just a guess.

If you are--> stay at ur school and just get ranked first in all ur senior subjects. Using that extra 1hr you'd lose in the afternoons
And it's not like you are aiming for 99.95 right, plus 90s are always possible.

If you arent and willing to travel/lose that study time --> move to the selective I say, because the cohort strength would be stronger. And also 1hr isnt that long of a travel, I've done and know people who have done longer for school, sometimes it's useful for studying/revising for an exam
