I just typed out a few questions which could be answered by the people who study law. While I am convinced about the course I wish to study next year, some of the responses to these questions should provide me with more insight into law at Uni.

1. Why did you choose to study law?

2. What do you most enjoy about studying law at uni?

3. What do you find most unenjoyable about studying law?

4. What did you combine with law, and what were you reasons for doing so?

5. What do you plan on doing after you graduate? (If you plan on practicing law - which field?)

6. Is there, in your opinion, a correlation between success in HSC legal studies and law at uni? Why/why not?

These are just off the top of my head. If I think of anything else, I'll add them.

As a matter of fact, I have read both threads. However, I didn't think these questions were answered in relation to each individual's personal opinion. If you wish not to answer - do not.

1. Why did you choose to study law? tis an appropriate profession for my high school, overwhelmingly overpopulated by UAI99+ sheep.

2. What do you most enjoy about studying law at uni? the intellectual challenge. the reading of facts and weird cases.

3. What do you find most unenjoyable about studying law? the excess reading. the dryness of the reading sometimes. shit teachers.

4. What did you combine with law, and what were you reasons for doing so? commerce. asian.

5. What do you plan on doing after you graduate? (If you plan on practicing law - which field?) at the moment, most likely corporate, coz that's where the blings at. might also look into immigration, which is the main practice of the firm i'm working in as a clerk.

6. Is there, in your opinion, a correlation between success in HSC legal studies and law at uni? Why/why not? absolutely none. you may be ahead for the first... week? but the lightspeed of everything at uni means the uni student will catch up pretty quick.

1. Why did you choose to study law?
Because in the long run I want to make a shitload of cash and ruin peoples lives. Law will allow me to achieve both at the same time.


2. What do you most enjoy about studying law at uni?
I can look down on Arts students, knowing that I am better than they will ever be. Unless they have combined Arts with law, of course, that's different.


3. What do you find most unenjoyable about studying law?
Not really being able to look down on Medicine students. This, and all the boring, dry reading. Writing essays sucks too.


4. What did you combine with law, and what were you reasons for doing so?
I combined with Medical Science, because it makes me look hardcore and smart. Also, I feel that an intimate knowledge of the human body and how it works will assist me in inflicting pain on jurors who forgot that they meant to say 'NOT guilty'.


5. What do you plan on doing after you graduate? (If you plan on practicing law - which field?)
I plan on being worked like a slave for five to ten years, before finally being able to make a shitload of cash.


6. Is there, in your opinion, a correlation between success in HSC legal studies and law at uni? Why/why not?
No. In fact, one of my lecturers stated that those who did legal studies often had trouble adapting to law at a university level compared to those who did not.

- get to meet nice girls?

I think all three factors would be present whoever you are, or wherever you study law, but what I did mean was that law girls turn me on full stop.

The second option you provided in the above, if you think about it, can be pretty shit at times though.

I think all three factors would be present whoever you are, or wherever you study law, but what I did mean was that law girls turn me on full stop.

The second option you provided in the above, if you think about it, can be pretty shit at times though.

exactly I have been to numerous open days and even Uni of NSW "Law outreach program " *even though I know I wont get in* and all they do is try to seel you on law! I felt like saying "HELLO I'm sold, why not tell me how I can get in grrrra"
