I thought Band 1 was 'no attempt made'... Or close to it, anyway;kaz1 said:Fail as in Band 1? If you get a Band 1 you don't fail, it just means you're pretty stupid.
No, it's when you get less than 50 in a subject.suzlee said:I thought Band 1 was 'no attempt made'... Or close to it, anyway;

Like 0.5%-1% of the sitters of SC.
Sometimes they have Band 1 answers on BOS or whatnot.
only applies to mandatory subjects. If you get an n award for an elective, u r still eligible for sc. Well thats what my school told me.xXmuffin0manXx said:are you sure ?

It's true. If you do the online tests on Board of Studies:shaon0 said:Itsa harder to get a Band 1 in SC than get a Band 6 in SC
not if u deliberately flunk itshaon0 said:Itsa harder to get a Band 1 in SC than get a Band 6 in SC
A school shouldn't say that because everyone will start bludging in electives.Aznmichael92 said:only applies to mandatory subjects. If you get an n award for an elective, u r still eligible for sc. Well thats what my school told me.
well i dont see any problem with them telling us. At least it wont make u feel stressed out jut because u failed an exam for an elective. Also it did happen to someone last year. I think there is like some punishment for that if u deliberately bludge an elective resulting in poor results. Cant remember.
