Hey was just wondering if anyone had any good revision tips for the ACST101 exam. It sounds kind of embarressing asking for help in this subject cos its the easiest subject in the degree but id love to do well in it.

Also my online assignments have been pretty poor to absolutely shocking, yet im receiving credits and distinctions for the class tests. Will this adversely effect my overall grade?

Thanks

Just make sure you know how to draw a tiiimeliiine.

No, seriously, know how to do this because in the short answer section you might not get the full mark unless you draw a timeline.

Other than that, the papers that are available on e-reserve are what the short answer Qs should be like. Don't think they release multiple choice qs cos they're pretty much the same each year.

An investment of 100,000 is expected to produce cash flows of 40,000 at the end of years 1, 2 and 3 respectively and a cash flow of X at end of yr 4. If the IRR is j1=15% then X is approx.?
a)8671
b)10942
c)13188
d)15166
e)20000

Answer is D but i cannot figure out how to solve this still. if some1 could post their working out it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
