Im looking to do actuarial studies at Melbourne university but my friend tells me you have to get a First Class honours average in order to have a chance of being employed? Is this true? I'd much appreciate your views on this

If you want a job comfortablyafter graduating, get above average marks and couple that with good extracurricular activities and work experience. Work on and fine tune your people skills.

im pretty sure at all the unis...in actuarial studies, you will need a least a credit average so that you become qualified when you graduate. check melbourne uni's handbook. in unsw i think you need a D average to have exemptions but generally to be safe, get a C average in it.
