got my interview, too. bit worried because i get back from schoolies on dec 1, have speech day on dec 5 and leave the country on a family holiday on dec 8. hmmm.

ETA: scaled total was 196, percentile total was 274. strangely my friend hasn't gotten one, and her scaled total was 211 with a percentile total of 274. we can't figure out why.

i know it changes every year, but last years cut off was 172. And for whoever asked, my scaled score was 189.

Hmm... could be because there are now a few more places for Adelaidians instead. Zali, this means you are on the cusp of getting an interview offer. Second round could facilitate that.

Got an offer yesterday. I had a score of 180 (I hate section 2!)

I've never been to Adelaide though. Might have to get there early to see what its like.

yes there are ethics situations.. i had 2 from med and dent.. i can only remember the dent one..

my percentiles were: 82,66,94. =242
i live in adelaide.
But i didn't get an offer for an interview for adelaide med. My scaled score was better than petar13's by 2 points.

so why didn't i get an offer?

I didnt even get a letter, so i called them up and they're sending another one
I only applied for dentistry though, hope i get an offer.

Could it possibly have something to do with your preference order?
OR, Did you get a letter stating you did not score an offer? Because I think you still receive a letter. If you didn't - did you apply before Sept 31? You should probably call them.
That's my brainstorming.

I got a letter saying that i was below the cut off for med interviews but had made it for dentistry.
Medicine was my first pref, so i don't it had anything to do with that.
I think im going to go and question the admissions officer...ill let you all know if i get anything out of them as the whole process seems to be behind closed doors. I can understand them not releasing an absolute cut-off threshold, but surely they could tell us how the sections are weighted...

Yeh i'd ask that. I find the adelaide admin rude and slow. The UNSW ladies are excellent, they answer your questions concisely and on time.

they will release the UMAT scaled scores in april 2006 for the year.... according to the homepage..

Agreed. I rang Adelaide when I got my non-acceptence letter because my UMAT number wasn't written on the details and it said to check they were correct and ring if there was a problem and the lady basically bit my head off said everything was fine n hung up.
Maybe she was having a really bad day but there was no need to be rude
