Ok. That's great that you are trying out for a Selective High School. But there are a lot of things to be prepared. What's the school are you applying for? They should tell you what you need to bring. You will firstly need great report from school. Straight A's will be awesome. In your application form, make sure it sounds good. Show that you are actually involved in your school through many extra curricular activities such as sports, debating, chess and etc.

For the report-wise, it will be wise to mention how academically inclined you are as the reports may not show that aspect to great extent. If your report doesn't include ranks, tell those people how you are roughly ranked. It will be wise to do so. In your form, mention your personal characteristics that would make the school better place. That's the kind of start you should make in your form.

You have heaps of extra curricular stuff. It will really boost your chances. Your report isnt necessarily bad, although its probably a down side. Goodluck in applying and I hope you get in.

That's pretty good. With that, you will be able to get into few decent Selective High School. As I said, it really depends on the school you are applying to.

Don't put in the Credit for Science Comp. :p
But all the co-curricular stuff will get you in. Especially at schools that value extra-curricular activities (my school, Baulko, Fort Street, amongst others).

that report is better than like the bottom 10% of my grade. :D And do put your credit for science, it is still a great achievement.

You will need to do an entrance exam. I can give you more advice if you like, I'm a professional consultant and can offer a private consultation for as little as $30 per/hour.

The list of extra-curricular activities that i included,
Doccument Attached Below :]

Good luck for whoever applied for yr11 next year =]

I was going to apply to selective. I had the enrollment forms.
It's just that my school gave the reports a day before the deadline for submitting the enrollments to all the schools.
grr.
I'm not sure if I would've made it though.
Year 9 :
4 A's, 4 B's
Year 10 :
5 A's, 3 B's.

T___T I'm kind of regretting it... but I can't really do anything about it. lol

You just had to submit the last 2 reports wasn't it?... I guess it didn't have to be the most recent ones; You could have just included a note that Semester 1 Reports hadn't been released yet by the school...
