hey, just wondering how many ppl are actually in the aerospace lectures and what the gender ratio is like.
AERO1560 Introduction to aerospace incorporates the aeronautical people, and all the people in the space streams of aero, mechanical and mechatronics.llamasohee said:wow thats heaps. do you actually need to get 99.4 to get in?
There's only 17 people doing space? Wow, I feel special...antarctic said:The aerospace engineering course has no specialist classes for first semester (and probably the first year) i.e. there are no "aerospace" lectures. Indeed, there will be no special aerospace lectures, just space lectures attended by all 3 courses with a (Space) at the end. In first semester means aero(space) students are in classes with aeronautical engineering students, mech(sapce) and mechatroics(space), as well as with science students for the maths courses.
As for the gender ratio, of the 17-odd first year undergraduates doing the 3 Space courses, I know of at least 3 girls.

Haha I still maintain there's about 10 girls, I'll count next time we have a lecture.gordo said:lol 9:1, more like 25:1
really? only 17withoutaface said:There's only 17 people doing space? Wow, I feel special...
From what I've heard from those in higher years (both mechatronics/space) it's very worthwhile. One thing I would do though is go flexible first year to avoid getting KC Wong as a lecturer if you're planning on mech or mtrx.llamasohee said:is the course worth doing?
