Hi all!

Just want to say, this site is wonderful! :)

Um, I wish to use Alice in Wonderland as one of my related texts, however I am unsure of how to relate this back to The Tempest.

Here are my thoughts:

SIMILARITIES
> both imaginative journeys which involve travel/transition into a non-existent world that is the imaginative world
> elements of "dreaming" and magic (Prospero's books/Alice's world is full of magic)
> both have magical creatures and implement morals of good and evil (Gonzalo/Caliban - Alice/Queen)
> both end with a resolution - the human spirit is exalted and uplifted - and return to the "real" world

CONTRASTS
> Alice, unlike Prospero is unaware of her surroundings and has no control - she is vulnerable - powerless
> events are not planned unlike in The Tempest - random

I'm sure I could think of more but it'd require more brain power lol.

I'm just wondering, to those who could possibly help me, is this correct and do you have any suggestions that could improve my analysis of these two texts and their relation?

Thank you!! Any help is appreciated!

I meant this site is wonderful - as in the bored of studies site. I didn't have a site - I made that info up in my head.
