American Idiot to me was completely different to the rest of the album...it just didn't fit in. Why was this? Green Day's other songs don't seem to be as mainstream anymore...not mainstream enough to get massive airplay. How do we get massive radio airplay? Criticise the government, create some controversy piss Bushy off....cue Radio DJ "Here's an old band with some great new songs that just dont make the cut with our sponsors...they made a very naughty song though, people are talking about it....our sponsors like that....here...listen to 'American Idiot' by Green Day."
American Idiot is an upbeat money grabber on a CD full of songs about the journey of a 'troubled' albeit extremely rich individual in Billy Joe Armstrong.
