What do you think of the comment in the third document "It will be an act of vandalism if they persist."?
it has come to my attention that these documents have recently been copied to facebook, and someone is boasting about having these documents without saying where they got them from.

i just want to make it clear that they were here for the last 7 years as many are already aware, so copying to facebook and boasting about it without saying where they got them from is quite disingenuous in the extreme.

it's something one might get away with if there was just a 5 minute delay - but 7 years? no way!

At least they are bringing in notation for "and": and "or":

3D vectors in Extension 1 - so extension 1 textbooks will have to have a major update to their vectors chapters.

Much talk about skew lines in ext 2 - BUT still no cross product - hence one of the most basic questions about skew lines, minimum distance between skew lines, is conspicuously absent.

It makes it clear that projectile motion with quadratic drag is NOT in the new syllabus.
Why they removing projectile motion that can't be solved with suvat equations? What's the point of projectile motion in math then?

Just read through these, enraged about them removing projectile motion from EE1. I enjoyed that topic so much and it helped the projectile motion content in Physics make sense.

That's the consequence when you let people who know nothing about math do what ever they want with the syllabus

There will be an announcement from BOSTES next Wednesday at the MANSW conference involving a significant change to the calculus courses.

There is no official word yet about what this might be.

But there is a rumour going around that it will be a formula sheet in HSC exams for ALL the courses (just like General get now).

I'll let you know more later.

and i go further

7 years ago i got permission to reproduce these documents from bill pender himself, which is how they found their way on bos 7 years ago

and the dude who copied them onto facebook recently DIDN'T have permission from bill pender to do so.
