I was told that for the extended response questions in the HSC you can answer it in bulleted notation. Sort of like a listed way rather than the formal essay like way

eg.
=> Ethanol is renewable
=> Can be used as a fuel
=> Can be dehydrated to form ethene

Is such an answer valid when it comes to HSC marking or do they want it in full sentences? :S

Thanks

I've heard that bullet pointing is fine, but I think you need to use full sentences.

It depends on the question, if it says "Identify" you can just mention dot points if you like. It it says "explain" they expect you to give more details

... the "key words" [eg identify, explain, etc) need to be known & used.

btw diagrams are a great way to HELP 'describe' .....
(remember, a picture is worth a 1,000 words. lol)
