Are there any music courses that dont require previous music knowledge from HSC? (1 Viewer)

Hi i didnt study music for HSC. i DID play piano for about 3 years, but its mainly reading the chords, hence im not really strong with musical terms and note reading and stuff. I would like to do music as my arts major at unsw, and i was just wondering if there were any music electives that doesnt have 'Assumed knowledge' requirement.

In answer to your question, probably not.

Im in third year at UNSW doing B Mus/B Ed

You need to be pretty good at performance, you auditioning alongside hundreds of people have have been playing since they were like 2! And you have to be pretty good with your theory as well.....

I didn't have a very good theory background when I got to uni so it is possible to audition and get in, but you will have to work really hard from now til the auditions.
