your guilty conscience may force you to vote greens but deep down you yearn for a cold hearted Liberal party, to lower taxes, brutalise criminals and rule you like a king.
rep to anyone who gets the reference
but seriously don't vote greens. has anybody actually visited their website sat down and read their policies. they're insane socialist hippies who would run Australia into grinding poverty
bing bing bing we have a winnerSideshow Bob, running for mayor?
bing bing bing we have a winner
your are more conservative than I'll ever be. read up on AC and you will see that is a fact. secondly i have read the polices and they are simply stupid fucking Hippies who will ruin the country simple as that. Vote for a real party not dirty hippiesThe Greens don't stand a chance because of people like scuba_steve2121, who are like the conservative baby boomers we are battling against, in that they make stupid statements without even having read the actual policies.
There's also this myth that preferences flow to the ALP, yet Bob Brown has specifically said that there will be no default preferences for the 2010 election.
The Greens aren't looking to run the countryyour are more conservative than I'll ever be. read up on AC and you will see that is a fact. secondly i have read the polices and they are simply stupid fucking Hippies who will ruin the country simple as that. Vote for a real party not dirty hippies
mate have you been to their website? The Greens aren't looking to run the country
They are looking to hold sufficient seats to provide a socially progressive voice in parliament which the Gov will have to consider when debating policy
They'll have no power over hardcore economic policy which the ALP and libs should agree on
many people are just saying 'greens' coz there's no other reasonable option.I have been feeling this way recently. I find it concerning that both parties seem to have become much more socially conservative with the directions they are heading. I find things like the idea of censored internet in a free country frightening/disgusting and both party's stances on things like gay marriage, the treatment of asylum seekers and the ongoing "tough" stances on drugs seem so backward to me.
This has left me in the position of not wanting to vote for either party, regardless of how I feel about the economic policy. Do you feel the same way, or is economic policy alone enough to give you satisfaction in choosing between the two?
i already said that XDyeah Papen thought he could control Hitler as well
Surely you're joking? The greens position on a variety of issues (i.e. economic policy, social, foreign) is as clear as day.many people are just saying 'greens' coz there's no other reasonable option.
but are the greens reasonable? their position in politics isn't really that clearly defined.

Social progressivism is clearly their ideology. As to their position, while its naive to think they'll ever break the two party dominance, they are primarily there to hold the balance of power, keeping the right wing fuckwits in both parties in check.
that's not exactly what i meant.yes it is go to their god dam website
Counter-point: ACT Greens, Tasmanian Greens, and heck, even the Liberal Democrats in the UK.while its naive to think they'll ever break the two party dominance

And I'd also say holding balance of power is breaking the two party dominance.
