Likewise, rank of order notice says i came 5th in chem, and my teacher said came 4th before release. I just emailed her about it, you should ask you teacher too.

How awesome am I?

Also, with English Advanced, although it says 13/14 I actually got last, but I just tied with another guy.

Is it possible my report at graduation was just my Semester 2 rankings and the rankings on this site are for the whole of the year?

I feel your pain.

If this person attempts it, I have a plan to gain a few more marks in an assessment to destroy the bitch...
Unfortunately, assessment marks can't change. The only way ranks can end up changing now, is if the Board feels that the weightings of tasks set were not appropriate or according to BOS standards, or there were clerical errors.

Trials tend to be 25 - 40% from what I've seen, and the rest 15 - 30% each.

What exactly defines an inappropriate weighting?

Well I think inappropriate in terms of the syllabus requirements set - ie. certain components of the syllabus have a minimum/maximum OVERALL weighting for internal assessment. Something to do with that I think.
But, also.. if the school sets a research assignment at 50% weighting or something.. then that would be looked into perhaps.
