Plea bargaining involves the accused pleading guilty to a lesser offence or to one of a number of offences. The Department of Public Prosecutors may bargain the charge down or the accused may change their plea to guilty if they are faced with an unwinnable case. Benefits for plea bargaining is that there is the decrease in court costs and delays however the offender may not be receiving the punishment they truly deserve, which makes the victim feel unjustly treated.
so justice can have 2 perspectives. for the accused, they see that justice is present as it has allowed the accused to suffer a less harsh punishment while as for the victim there is the lack of justice within the legal system
