http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/attacker-bites-womans-nose-off/2008/03/15/1205472157881.htmlSURGEONS yesterday tried to rebuild a woman's nose after it was bitten off during an assault in Sydney's south-west.
The woman, 39, was walking near a park in Appin about 12.15am yesterday when a person approached her and demanded money.
Police said an altercation occurred and the assailant bit off part of her nose before running away. The woman rang triple 0 and police arrived to find her covered in blood. She was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition and underwent surgery. Officers believe the woman had caught a train from Warrawong to Campbelltown before accepting a lift to Appin from two females arriving shortly after midnight.
She was asking for it, hanging around a park that late.
