sam worthington's warped accent ( 'Aussie' bogan cross new yorker) was embarrasing, Cameron really scraped the bottom of the barrel when picking this guy.

The effets were awesome, but the story line is too cliched. Its like a kids movie.

It looked absolutely amazing, kudos for the visuals. Now that's out of the way:

WOW that was a totally shitty movie

what a terrible, clichéd, PREDICTABLE plot line

I found it completely unstimulating and intellectually insulting

this word gets bandied about a lot these days, but this film is TRULY overrated. I'd say one of the most overrated films in recent history

yeah thanks i get that, but i don't see specifically what that has to do with avatar. if avatar wasn't around, people would still be pirating. plus it's not like no other film is making any money atm, new moon made more money domestically in 2 weeks than avatar did in 2 weeks

and, avatar is second on the biggest grossing list of all time, so again, it's not like everyone is pirating it?

you first said that avatar is luring people to the cinemas and that's bad for dvd sales, but then you said that noone is going to the cinema and that's also bad?
