Haha, uni and course bashing are once again evident in these forums. Aside from the bias you all have (or might have) any maths degree teaches you how to apply things to the real world. You could virtually do anything in life!
As far as career prospects go (and knowing the way this forum is heading off to), it depends on what area you want to get into specifically.
In answer to Seraphim, what is possible= 100% probable if you have the determination to succeed. Maybe not straight away, but that determination will get you there eventually.
