band 6 or high band 5 in standard english requirements? (1 Viewer)

Ive heard the only lik 40-60 kids get a band 6 in standard. Is getting a 85+ sufficent to even get a band 5 cause of shit scaling or is 86-88 enough for a band 6.

Rank 1 as well with 86 internal mark enough to be scaled to around 90 and with hsc marks added onto that is it still possible?

You actual mark doesnt get aligned down im fairly sure, its just whether or not it'll align up. The scaling has to do with its impact on your atar, but the actual hsc mark for english standard doesnt necessarily go down Im quite sure.

It has flat scaling, meaning you will have to get a raw of over 90 to secure a potential b6 which will then be compared to your internal performance ofc.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a raw mark of 90 for scraping over a band 6.

Over 80 raw seems to align upwards.

Apparently ESL scales better than Advanced. But aligns worse probs

Let's say my internals raw is ~75 and I get 80-85 raw in my hsc, does it align well?
