+1 Industrial was dead on. Easy to lose marks in core and MC.
So low 80's is a def go.
I might even have a chance of pulling 80+ raw.

90 raw would align to 95 i would say.
Well done mate.
maybe higher... maybe 96/97

so am i right to say that this is the general aligning of marks for chemistry this year is:
70->85
80->90
90->95

note that its from reading the thread i dont really have a clue how to.. "guess" these things

I don't think we can predict aligning, because they vary from year to year, depending on the 'intellegence' of that cohort.

However, if you are basing your assumption on averages, that'd be about right.

Ahh nuts, I'm predicting a 65-70% raw mark for me. Hopefully that scrapes me a band 5, seeing as mid 60's was around my assessment mark :(

Go Dani. :p

Yeah, I'm hoping for what Dani's aiming for. Lost about 4 so far.

I thought that it wasn't as hard a test as previous years. band 6 cutoff is prolly aroun 85 based on my experience with the test.

I hope i got over 80. I was pretty confident with the test but it seems that the ones your confident about are the ones you always got the worst in so...

can you explain that?
Cause my school assessment mark is 74% and i'm coming 5th in my year so would that scale proportionally or am i going to be screwed over by that.. and lets say.. i'll get 85 for this exam.. which would scale to 90? then my average of the two would be pretty.. low?

your school marks get aligned to how your grade did as a whole

I have a question, can you have a higher internal mark than the external mark?
