Blu Ray Speech (Physics)

I have this Blu Ray speech coming up and im kind of stuck on how to explain the technology relating to waves.

-Do i explain the mechanics of the laser?

-Do i explain the optical ray pickup?

-And what are the most important aspects of Blu Ray

any advice is most appreciated
(please also note im not very familiar with next-gen technology but im trying to learn ASAP)

Wikipedia is your friend: Blu Ray Disc I'm not much of a tech guy either, though.

As for whether or not you should include it: Your teacher should've given you some sort of indication of what he/she is expecting, as well as an assessment criteria. (Well, in my school, the teacher would've =S)
