Yeah that's true, but sometimes more for simple tables like RICE equilibrium tables or something like it, borders aren't normally seen in sample answers anyways but yeahBorders are a good idea, but honestly you should leave it to last. First you have to work out how many rows and columns you need and how wide they should be, etc etc so if you have time left over, then, yes put the borders in.

I do my borders for ICE tables all the time because I fear losing a mark just cos. I think someone from my chem class didn't do that for our depth study assessment exam and ended up losing a mark because of lack of border
