yeh i dunno wat dey look for in personal statements.... beats me..

UTS rejected my internal transfer from fulltime to parttime in the same degree..

but i got accepted through uac n e wayz... =)

Aye, why would UTS knock back my first preferences (Biomedical Science) with a UAI cutoff of 81.05 and usyd except me in medical science with a uai cutoff of 90+?

Maybe it was something in my personal statement...

that happened to someone i know as well, except his uai was LOWER than the course he opted for and got accepted.. so yeah

I can only think of it as being that course had all its offers/places taken up, and hence couldn't accept you many possibilities

It is quite possible that USYD has artificially inflated their cut-off for Medical Science, alternatively they could each have reserved a different amount of places for NRSL applicants such as yourself which may skew the cut-offs for NRSLs.
