I have to make up a business which has been around for 50 years demonstrating the business life cycle and like major events/changes in those years.
roughly what year period of years would be used for :
establishment
growth
maturity
post maturity; decline

Well,
Establishment = 1-3 years (it could be more) because when it actually starts making a profit and can pay off all its debt and liabilities and has liquidity at hand it will turn into the growth stage
Growth = year 4 - 25/30 This is when it makes profit rather than loss
maturity = year 25/30 - 40/45 This is when it maintains a relatively solid amount of profit, this is basically it's boom or maximum phase until it hits a renewal
Decline = years 40/45 - 50 when there starts to be a significant drop in profits and may possibly lead to cessation but could also fluctuate to a renewal stage.

Hope I helped! :]
