should my WAM be atleast 75 to be considered for vacationers and if its like 74 is that ok?
Despite what RishBonjour says, it's not really a criteria at most firms and hasn't been for a while to have a D WAM unless you're applying for specific technical roles (which as far as I'm aware, aren't really offered to interns/grads nowadays).

That being said crazy_paki123, I've seen you post a lot on here and whilst I encourage questions, I would highly recommend you actually do some serious research into the fields which you're applying for and what the roles entail. Similar to many other people who apply for these things, it's important to show why you are actually suitable for the role as opposed to just coming off as someone looking for a job and picked the biggest firms on the BRW list. Don't worry so much about the strategy or politics behind recruitment and instead focus on ensuring you're able to articulate examples of core competencies and traits which employers are looking for at your level.

I agree it not the most important criteria, but during our intro uni seminars - academic results were on the 'selection criteria' for employees (4th or 5th in importance). But would a Pass suffice? considering its not really taken into account too much?

I think pass might be a little low however credit should suffice as long as you fill in the other criterial very well!

There's no hard and fast rule but if you only have a pass average, it'll lead to the question of why, and whether or not you'd really be able to learn what you need to learn on the job and/or finish CA.

I'm not sure who else got the offer (expecting one more person, although they did say up to 4 this year if partners agree). I had a another friend in the interview as well, he didn't get anything either. I will be asking on Monday when I hand in an initial paper to sign who's my comrade at arms. I can see why they didn't contact anyone else and left it till Monday(only a theory), because I'm meant to sign and hand in a initial contract with them by Monday if I'm accepting the offer(and then additional forms will be handed), so if the other person who got the offer won't accept it(cause they got another offer or something) (I'll be accepting mine) , then they'll call the next person on the list to offer them so that even though they can fill it in with a graduate, probably better to have at least some cadets each year to keep that "flow" of cadets each year(or this whole thing makes crap sense,if any). I understand the waiting, I almost lost faith when it was today and like 3:30pm already, I was like Noooo.
Just curious, how was today with your contract signing? How many people did they end up taking etc?

Yeah it was good, just went to the office to hand in my contract and got out haha, they're sending extra documents by post. 3 people got positions,I know one of them(she goes to my TAFE accounting class),but I'm not sure who the 3rd person is yet. We're meant to have a meet up, but supposedly that will be in some time.

It's quite important for people who are using examples to understand what the interviewer is trying to understand or obtain from the candidate with the example.

What is the STAR technique?
1. Situation: Open with a brief description of the Situation and context of the story (who, what, where, when, how).
2. Task: Explain the Task you had to complete highlighting any specific challenges or constraint (eg deadlines, costs, other issues).
3. Action: Describe the specific Actions that you took to complete the task. These should highlight desirable traits without needing to state them (initiative, intelligence, dedication, leadership, understanding, etc.)
4. Result: Close with the result of your efforts. Include figures to quantify the result if possible.

Dam that was close! If only it was more like last year(11 positions) I'm sure you would've definitely got it! Come back next year for sure!
