Why don't you talk to him about his behaviour? He might not know that he's acting like that. One day when its just you two, just bring it up casually and see what he says. If he changes his ways, than stick with him. If not, I would class him as a bad friend and -POOF- off he goes imo

or just hang out with him in 1:1 scenarios, rather than group situations.
