You need to be a bit more specific with the question....

im assuming this is for acid and bases... so its just identifying acid and bases... acid turn litmus red base turn them blue.

yea just learn how to work out indicator... pretty sure this is the indicator dot point.

for example, is the solutions slightly acidic, highly alkaline or whatever based on the data you've been given. :)

i have no idea... i came second last in my first prac assessment... can't write properly. lost all my marks to not setting it out properly and grammatical mistakes.

it really depends on your teacher, how she/he likes it to be set out... should ask if its not already too late. :p

my thoughts:

loznadam; please be more specific next time; and if possible relate to a dot point

so here goes
control- distilled water yeah?
solutions of all sorts of thing/solutions LOL
so use some sort of indicator to determine pH of each solution; and based on the pH classify it as basic or acidic

i think with the writeup deal with;
- safety
- improvements; should u repeat stuff?

deal with why some are basic, why some are acidic

perhaps u could also do the concentration thing, with different concs of solutions
-

was wondering if anyone can help with a question on neutralisation -

-- analyse information from secondary sources to assess the use of neutralisation reactions as a safety measure or to minimise damage in accidents or chemical spills --

Thanks alot ^^

Some of the things you should look for is things like carbonate and hydrogen carbonate salts. (e.g. NaHCO3)
These undergo reactions with both acids and bases to take away the H or OH ions, stopping further damage.

On the other hand, using an acid to neutralise a base (+vice versa) isn't a good idea, if you think about using too much or pouring it on the wrong spots.

lolz, black jack still got the stuff!!!

also, u don't want to use only water, cuz it dilutes the substances, not effectively gettin rid of it...

excess base or acid=bad

bicarbonate (amphiprotic) excess=good (well it ain't a problem)
