I think there will probably definitely be an aboriginal cycad seed equilibrium question because they have never done that but other than that i dont know
Its in the syllabus dotpoints so its better to learn it than ignore it just in case !

there's always some mod 8 question where you have to look at nmr/mass spectrum/infrared i think - they either give you a compound and you have to justify it or you have to find the compound (esters or aldehyde/ketone probably since they're a bit harder to narrow down)
and i feel like back titration since there's a lot of steps to think about

in addition to the cycad question there's also that dot point in mod 6 " explore acid/base analysis techniques that are applied by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples" which could come up (i've just been doing trial papers so idk if its been asked in the hsc yet)

Defo a spectra question, also probably an Indigenous based q from mod 5 or 6 + back titration possibly with oxidation/reduction - also expecting a large reaction pathway question + lots of calculations, apparently last year was very easy so its bound to be harder this year

ive been doing no chem, its just so far away...
I always study it the most, because for others i can generally memorise things but chemistry is one of those subjects that for me at least requires me to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE all the time. Or else i forget absolutely everything and it becomes a bit fruitless

i love studying for chemistry though. Its so…relaxing…humanities is scary but chemistry is nice to me. Everything is good. And predictable. And you dont overthink anything, it just is what it is. ITS LOVELY.

once you start understanding, chem becomes a bit fun but then you come across a question you just cant do and tears fly out

OH YEAH ABSOLUTELY THOUGH! But once you get through it, it makes so much more sense…i usually have to look at youtube tutorials for those kinds of questions too. Because sometimes i just give up :p

it is VERY defeating…
