hey
what is CompSci like?

what do you do?
First year? Programming and nothing but.

After that? A bit more programming, and then pretty much anything you want. You could go into networking, databases, AI, graphics, or several other areas.

Doing a combined degree will limit you significantly in regards to electives, however if digital media is something you like, then you should do it. If you're not sure, you should be able to do digital media courses within compsci anyway, so you can do one or two, and if you like it you can continue to do them and switch program to the combined degree, or if you don't, not much of value was lost. So this is one possibility you should consider.
hhmmm...so computer science seems like the better choice...How many of those specialised fields can i chose (like robotics, game design, networking, etc.) ?

Also, Why is the UAI for computer science at USYD so low compared to UNSW(around 76 I think)

thanks

As many as you want - you are only limited by the number of electives, which you have space for in your program (compsci has the largest amount of free space).
