I cannot believe it but I just fully realised that my Academic Session was on Thursday. Am I right in saying that the Advisory session was just to say what units you need to apply?

Well, I will go during this week and I think I should ring 1800 897 669 to ask about me missing the session. So what happens now? How do I get the information sheets/forms that were at my Academic Advising session? Is there anything else that I should be aware of or the staff will tell me/give me all the necessary information when I do the enrolment forms?

I rang the University earlier today. It didn't seem she could help me with my Advisory Day but she did tell me the information sheet/forms I would have got there would be given to me when I enrol. Anyway, she just said the AA Day was just to tell a bit about the course and the units; well the units I need to enrol in are on the UWS website anyway.

Just a small question, they said you need to know what units to enrol in. Well aren't we suppose to enrol in all the units listed in your course for 1st and 2nd Semester? The wording seems like you get unit choices, I don't think so.

I'm not sure about your degree but I just had my academic advising and enrolment. I had to pick my social science units based on the specialisation in wanted to do. You should ring again and ask specifically which units are required for your degree, sometimes they are set sometimes you have a choice. Best thing you can do is go to the UWS site and find out who the course coordinator is and give them a call/email, as they will know exactly what units you need to do as you definately need to know ur units for enrolment

No probs, it all depends if they have a set program or you get to pick. I had a set program for one degree and then I had to pick the units for the others, thus I had to ask the coordinator which units I needed to pick for a Criminology specialisation, although the double degrees are weird so yours might be different so yeah check with them first.

At enrolment you will be a form thats special for your degree so on mine since the law units are fixed they were already on there, I just had to write in the social science units.

I wish I knew lol, I had to pick something and the only thing that seemed interesting was Criminology and at least its similar to law. Lol it just complicates things as I have to travel between two campuses.

Thanks you to you both, that clears everything. The Head of my Degree just emailed me back. She said the units for Autumn and Spring session was correct so my course is fixated. We get 6 electives but those electives don't start until second year.
